About Jiasheng
Jiasheng Hu (胡嘉盛) is a Chinese guitarist based in Utrecht, the Netherlands. Before moving to the Netherlands to study jazz, he worked as a live and session guitarist in China, gaining experience on stage and in the recording studio.
Rooted in Pop, R&B and Soul, his playing now draws on jazz to bring new depth and colour to these influences. Blending styles with a strong sense of musicality, Jiasheng is developing a personal sound that is versatile, expressive and distinctly his own.
Duo, Trio & Full Band
Available for duo, trio and full-band performances, with a musical approach rooted in Pop, R&B, Soul and Jazz. I welcome collaborations with vocalists and instrumentalists across a range of ensemble sizes, shaping the sound to suit the music and the occasion.
